Jaded - by elateddream

Sometimes people just communicate too much.
They either talk too much tripe, or write too much tripe; expounding - at soul-sapping length - the myriad of ways that they are, to all intents and purposes, a prancing tit. Whilst the length is welcoming most of the time, providing the reader with enough of a salutary beacon to coax them to read on, there are periods where you crave brevity : of communication and of time-consumption. Do not lead me on a merry dance around your life, my dear! Get to the point, or get thee to buggery!
Today was one of these moments.
So, thank my lucky stars for stumbling over my shoelaces on the Pending List and falling at the feet of Elateddream. Here is a lady who manages, of all things, to subtract from minimalism. Good stuff, I say; this is, indeed, the ticket. Minimum of effort to read, maximum of time to sit around in a mischievious manner, luxuriating in my own good fortune and brilliance.
Now, naturally, it is at this point that I throw in some story about rollercoasters and how I almost pissed my pants at Alton Towers, after waiting for 2 hours to go on the Nemesis ride (the look on my face as I came off the damned thing was priceless) finally culminating in oblique comments on how Elateddream and the rides are comparable; the moment at the crest of a hill on the rollercoaster are like the entries of fun and joviality, whereas the stomach-churning aftermath of the rollercoaster is akin to the sensation that you experience from being exposed to the overbearing despondancy from some entries. A mixed bag, indeed.
She suits her style and utilises it to competently divulge her thoughts to the reader. It helps that there are some moments of humour present, however, the humour is offset considerably by the more moody writings. It is controversial and I am not saying that her diary should be solely one or the other, but I feel that she writes with a higher degree of quality when she is a humorous mood rather than when she is on a downer.
Still, it is a pleasant enough read, if not compelling enough to return time after time after time.

Just that. She can be a downer, sometimes.
