Hello! This is Bert Konterman here and welcome as writes into my new Marked Accordingly column, "The Konter Attack!" I, Bert Konterman, am, like you know, the dynamic engine behind the waterproof midfield and defense of Glasgow Rangers and Netherlands football teams. Since the untimely demise of my Icons.net forum, I, Bert Konterman, were cruelly robbed a sufficient platform for my provoking and not welcome opinions on the operating expenditures of the world football and the world politics: but fortunately, my very good good good good great personal friend Guildenstern, recognising the critical import of the opinions I must give during these epoch-forming times, has given me my own column in its on-line magazine. "Yes, Bertie." he explained "Our readers need to told what's what. YOU'LL show them! You'll show them GOOD!" I always do not understand Guildenstern well, but I am grateful to him for giving this probability, to my public again to speak gladly.
This week I am very sad. I see all these pictures of the people blowing each other up, and I am thinking "Why can't people be friends without blowing each other up?" I am wondering if people know that, no matter how different they are outside, they are the all same inward. Sometimes I am very philosophical, and I think very deep things. It is very sad that everyone is not as thoughtful as Bert Konterman. For example my very good good good good great personal friend Guildenstern studied philosophy, but, if I explain him that it is very wrong for people to be killing each other and that people should always try very hard to like each other, he rubs his forehead and then looks as if he is going to sneeze, but doesn't. I am very surprised that such a clever man cannot form a cast-iron, irrefutable opinion on the basis of the same conjectural hearsay and third-hand reports that everyone else has. I think it sometimes that Guildenstern never believes ANYTHING people tell him unless he is there to see it himself! But I am sure that, deeply down, he is very sad. Bert Konterman is very glad to have Diaryland to explain to me what parts of the newspapers to be believed and which parts not. For example, I do not believe THIS. Even the very small island people of the very small islands heard of Bert Konterman! I think Dunfermline was very lucky to draw with Rangers. It was as if Satan defended its goal! When Bert replays the game on FIFA 2003, is not he very surely to hurt that Dunfermline player whose name he cannot remember? Heh-heh-heh!
Until the following column!
Your friend,
Bertie
