Guildenstern on: The Necessity of Atheism
Consider the following argument.
Premise 1) British television channel ITV's flagship daytime soap-opera Crossroads provides my life with a shambling semblance of meaning and dignity for several months.
Premise 2) The BBC offer to augment this artificial sense of self-esteem with a solid foundation of social productivity by employing me.
Premise 3) At a packed press conference, the BBC reveal their plans to overlap my working hours with Crossroads' showing times.
Premise 4) Crossroads' viewing figures decrease by 1.
Premise 5) One week later, ITV announce decision to axe Crossroads in light of falling ratings.
CONCLUSION: There is no God.
